 Easter Egg Knitting Pattern
These would make a lovely alternative easter gift, they fit nicely into
a standard sized egg box so you could make a set of 6 in all different
colours as a present, or you could make a few of these and fill the
gaps with chocolate eggs (mmmmmmmm)
Instructions include basic egg pattern and
instructions for how to create all the eggs you see on the pictures.
There are a few extra ideas you may like to try out and once you have
the hang of it its pretty easy to make it up as you go along.
For the bee a small amount of crochet chain stitch is used
and details are embroidered on using chain stitch (the sewing variety
this time) although you could do it with running stitch if you really
dont like the idea. Intarsia is used to create the pictures on the eggs
(if you are new to intarsia DONT PANIC! Its very easy, you just have 2
balls of yarn attached at the same time and you swap them over). If you
dont want anything complicated you can just use one colour or swap
yarns to create stripes. The easiest pattern is to knit using self
patterning yarn.
